Biomaterials That Lock in Nutrients
AeroChar™ is a pH-modified biochar that retains nitrogen, phosphorus, and moisture. It captures nutrient value before it escapes from poultry, livestock, and composting operations.

Raw Biochar Is Not Enough
Biochar Has the Structure. We Change the Chemistry
Raw biochar can retain water and nutrients, but its properties vary between loads, and it is often alkaline. Valorize engineers the biochar’s pH, surface chemistry, and particle size for each application.

Control Ammonia Without Losing the Nitrogen
AeroChar keeps valuable nitrogen in the litter instead of losing it to the air as ammonia. It also retains moisture and nutrients, improving conditions in poultry, livestock, and composting operations.
- Less Ammoniawhich meansNitrogen stays out of the air.
- Nutrients Retainedwhich meansNitrogen and phosphorus stay in the litter.
- Moisture Controlwhich meansHolds 2× its weight in water.
Real photo from our partners at BioSourcePer-bird margin went from 38¢ to 98¢ across four groups. Darkling beetles are gone, ammonia is low enough to run minimum ventilation, and bird health is noticeably better.

Engineered Biochar for Targeted Applications
Valorize qualifies raw biochar, modifies its chemistry and physical form, then tests the finished material against an application-specific specification.

Growing Media
Engineered Growing-Media Substrate
Carbon and silica rich biochars are blended and amended with humic substances, targeting peat replacement while maintaining consistent root-zone moisture and aeration.

Frequently Asked Questions
Raw biochar is porous but usually alkaline and inconsistent. AeroChar is that carbon with its pH and surface chemistry modified so ammonium stays in its nonvolatile form, then graded to a single finished specification.
75 to 125 lb per 1,000 sq ft at placement, one application per flock, using the spreading equipment already in the house.
The material is dust-controlled and handled like the treatment you already spread. Operators report lower ammonia, drier litter, and no darkling beetles.
Yes. Composting is one of AeroChar's shipping applications: it retains ammonium and moisture through the active phase, which cuts odor and keeps nitrogen in the finished material.
Not as-is. AeroChar is acidified for ammonia control and would sit outside most blend targets. The growing-media material is a separate formulation, buffered to a crop-appropriate range, and it is in development.
pH, moisture, bulk density, particle size distribution, fixed carbon, ash, feedstock, and batch, issued off the finished material rather than the incoming char.
Yes. Where Valorize does not make a finished material, Valorize qualifies the producer, holds the spec, and stands behind the match.
Yes. Valorize buys raw char for its own lines and runs qualification, product development, and market access for producers. Send a recent analysis and Valorize will tell you where it fits.
